Stars Route

The Stars Route Festival to stop at the William restaurant on June 23rd and 24th.

The Stars Route gastronomic festival is to be held at the Belmond Reid’s Palace’s William restaurant, awarded its first Michelin star in 2016. It is set to take place on the 23rd and 24th of June with Executive Chef Luís Pestana for its host.

Luís Pestana is to be joined by other star-clad chefs. From the Belmond Copacabana Palace in Brazil, Kazuo Harada; from the ‘t Nonnetje in the Netherlands, Michel van Der Kroft; from the Eleven in Lisbon, Joachim Koerper; from the Antiqyym in Oporto, Vitor de Matos and from Algarve’s the Bon Bon, Rui Silvestre. Apart from the ‘t Nonnetje, awarded two Michelin stars, all bear a single star. The ensemble is completed by Pedro Campos, the William’s very own pastry chef.

The menu comprises eight courses and wines selected by the sommelier of the Belmond Reid’s Palace, Alberto Luz. Regional ingredients are to be interpreted by Chef Luís Pestana, including bananas, passion fruit and scabbardfish eggs. Hazuo Harada will be employing regional tuna, fresh oysters and quail eggs in the craft of his ‘Buri Toro Nuta and Kaki Tokestsuna’ dish.

One of the many stops in the Stars Route, this dinner service is set to start at 7: 30 p.m., on both days, and includes a welcome drink. The evening of June 24th is also part of the Atlantic Festival and guests will have the opportunity to watch the fireworks from the hotel.
