New cultural initiative by the MFF screens a ‘deliberately different0 film every month at Fórum Madeira.
Every month, for the duration of a week, the NOS film theatre in Fórum Madeira screens a ‘deliberately different’ film.
The cinema’s new cultural offer is named ‘Madeira Film Festival Screenings’ and comes out of a joint partnership between the Madeira Film festival (MFF) and the NOS cinemas.
The initiative seeks to make the most out of the ‘synergies’ created by the film festival’s previous six editions in organising a new monthly film viewing event, lectures, musical performances and exhibitions according to the film selected for each month.
The programme has been left in the hands of Duarte Ferreira and Pedro Pão, who are also a part of the of the Madeira Film Festival’s organising crew.
The film selected for the initiative’s inaugural viewing is Jérôme Salle’s The Odyssey and it will be on the 9th and 10th of June, at 9 p.m. Two double tickets are to be given away.
