Establishments of the Savoy Hotels & Resorts group granted awards.
The Royal Savoy, Savoy Calheta Beach, Savoy Gardens and Savoy Saccharum were granted the ‘Green Key 2017?’ international award on June 2nd.
It is worth mentioning that the Savoy Calheta Beach Hotel has been the recipient of this award since 2012, the Savoy Gardens since 2013, and the Royal Savoy since 2014, while 2017 marks the Savoy Saccharum’s first time winning it.
The ‘Green Key’ is an award given out to acknowledge restaurants and tourist establishments who prime for their Environmental and Social sustainability good practices. The award itself is synonymous with Sustainable Tourism and is given out by a national jury who rates the candidate establishments and whether they distinguish themselves for promoting environmental education activities.
The hotel is proud to be a ‘green’ firm which assumes the commitment to remain a forerunner of an ever greener tourism which is more sensitive to wider social and environmental concerns.
