The Brazilian artist makes his return to Estalagem da Ponta do Sol after four years.
After performing at the Super Bock Super Rock Festival Silva is set to arrive in Madeira on Wednesday, July 19th, to perform at Estalagem da Ponta do Sol. Having previously participated in the closing concert of the 2013 L Concerts, the artist returns to Madeira for yet another performance.
At 29 years old, Silva drifts through the worlds of indie and electronic music with lyrics that match those of the world’s finest poetry. In 2012 his first album Claridão took 5th place in the poll for Brazil’s best album of the year (Rolling Stone Magazine). In 2013 he was the recipient of the APCA award (Associação Paulista de Críticos de Música).
Silva makes his return to Ponta do Sol with three more albums already under his wing: Vista Pro Mar (2014); Júpiter (2015) and Silva Canta Marisa (2016), the latter a tribute to singer Marisa Monte including not only covers of this Brazilian artist’s songs but also a track co-sang with her as well as a few original themes.
As per usual, and in keeping with the spirit of intimacy that is the very trademark of the locale, those interested in participating are required to forward their names to the event’s guest list so as to confirm their participation. There is mandatory minimum consumption valued at 7 euros.
