New and ‘lighter’ gastronomic options availbe at The Cliff Bay’s restaurant.
The Clif Bay’s Il Gallo D’Oro, Madeira’s only restaurant to have been awarded two Michelin stars, has just renewed its menu.
Idle Crab by Benoît Sinthon, Tuna and Passion fruit from Madeira, Lunar Eclipse of Cheese and ‘Ruby’ 2017, Strawberry XXL and Exotic Pidgeon Summer 2017 are just some of the new dishes now figuring in the Il Gallo D’Oro’s summer menu.
‘This season we’ll be using seasonal products and products from the island all of which have strong colours and lighter and fresher flavours: aromatic herbs, vegetables from our garden, some fruits, including citrusy ones, to add a dash of freshness and acidity’, explains Chef Benoît Sinthon, highlighting that the goal is ‘to freshen the palate with lighter gastronomic suggestions’.
There are three menus beyond the a la carte one: the ‘Top Experience Menu’ (six suggestions), the ‘Signature Menu’ (four suggestions) and the ‘All Times Greatest Flavours’, a menu comprising five dishes such as the Lobster by Benoît Sinthon and the Cofre Cristal Scarlet Shrimp. Prices range from 105€ to 165€.
The Il Gallo D’Oro is The Cliff Bay hotel’s gourmet restaurant. Chef Benoît Sinthon and his team at the Il Gallo D’Oro offer a cuisine inspired ‘in the market, the Atlantic Ocean and the Island of Madeira’.
