“Itália com alma” at the Il Basilico

Italian gastronomy festival to take place between the 18th and 26th of September. 

 

The PortoBay’s Vila Porto Mare’s Il Basilico restaurant is once again host to another edition of ‘Italy with Heart’, an event dedicated to the flavours and colours of Italian cuisine. This year, it is to be held between the 18th and 26th of September.

The special guest for this year’s edition if the Italian chef Pasquale Lanzillotti from the Fellini restaurant in Hessen, Germany.

At the Il Basilico, Pasquale Lanzillotti will showcase some of his culinary skills with the marinated veal carpaccio with panzanella and Pecorino Romano cheese; the eggplant, zucchini, mozzarella and basil timbale with cherry tomato coulis and the risotto with pumpkin cream, porcini mushrooms and parmesan cheese cream. 

The dishes to gather the most votes from the festival’s customers will earn a place in the restaurant’s menu. With the exception of the first day, which will comprise only dinner service, the festival will have the PortoBay’s restaurant open for lunch as well as dinner time.
