“Madeira Wine Labels – Printings with History” is Press Museum of Madeira’s newest bet.
The Press Museum of Madeira is readying itself to host the exhibition “Madeira Wine Labels – Printings with History”, opening on the 3rd of September at 11 a.m.
The exhibit will be in display until the 30th of October and comprises 750 labels from over eighty brands/firms of Madeira Wine. Labels started to be used more regularly in the mid twentieth century and the collection now in display means to pay tribute to all the artists who designed those labels as well as those who printed them between 1960 and 1990.
It will be the first time such a large number of graphic images of Madeira Wine is reunited in a single collection.
