PortoBay unit now sports a lunch menu over weekends.
Lukewarm roasted pumpkin salad with cream cheese, arugula leaves, olive vinaigrette with mustard and orange juice, tomato and onion soup with gratin cheese, oven baked premium cod loin with onions, olive oil and garlic, duck thigh with Madeira wine reduction sauce flavoured with orange and cream tartelette with Avó Micas’ almonds.
These are some of the suggestions for lunch now on offer over the weekend at the Avó Micas restaurant, in the PortoBay Serra Golf hotel.
The goal is to attract families and groups of friends to a lunch in a rural environment, next to the Golf Course of Santo da Serra, with the allure of going for a pleasant walk in a relaxed atmosphere before or after one’s meal.
This small yet exquisitely decorated estate is surrounded by nature and immersed in the traditions of Madeira. The main house, dated 1920, was renovated in 1999 and is classified as regional heritage.
