Starting this week, Lisbon has another hotel owned by the PortoBay group. It is the PortoBay Marquês, a four star hotel in Rua Duque de Palmela, just before you turn the corner into Praça Marquês de Pombal.

The Portobay Marquês has 71 bedrooms, 22 junior suites and 20 superior rooms and adjoining rooms.

Its facilities include an outdoor pool heated with jets, a solarium with sunbeds, a gym, a sauna and a Turkish steam bath.

Food-wise, there is a strong focus on flavourful pastas and Italian risottos at the Trattoria32 restaurant, a space left in the hands of Chef João Espírito Santo.

This is the second resort to be owned by the group after they opened the PortoBay Liberdade last year.

Other than the Liberdade and the Marquês, the group also owns six resorts in Madeira, one in the Algarve and three in Brazil.
