World Travel Awards elects hotel in Funchal as Portugal’s Leading Boutique Hotel.
The pioneering Pestana CR7 Lifestyle Hotels brand celebrated the achievement of Portugal's Leading Boutique Hotel, a prize received during the gala of the European zone of the World Travel Awards in St. Petersburg, Russia.
It was in a celebratory atmosphere, which was preceded by a cocktail party, that José Pedro Tojal, sales director of the Pestana group, reveals that this award "is a well-deserved acknowledgement for the work that was developed over this last year. This is a completely new project that has everyone here in Grupo Pestana really excited, a new segment as well, very dedicated to what are millenial customers and a very urban concept, unlike what we have here in Madeira which is more based around resort concepts."
The 49-room hotel combines contemporary design, technology and fitness. The open air gym, the outdoor sauna and the infinity pool are some of the particularities of the Pestana CR7 Funchal.
Having celebrated a year of existence out last July, the hotel stands out for the connection that the employees establish with the customers, as emphasized by José Pedro Tojal, "our guests feel very cherished when they come here, as do our guests who come to eat at the CR7 Corner restaurant, our restaurant here in the hotel, which is open to the public and has a strong connection with Funchal and its inhabitants."
In addition to this award, not only the Pestana Group, but also the brand of the Portuguese international, the sales director of the largest national hotel group concludes, Madeira is doubly victorious for once again having a hotel that is recognized beyond borders.
