60th edition of Madeira Wine Rally started on 1 and ends on August 3
This prestigious event of the Madeira Wine Rally at European level, already has a good show of all participants present. 39 teams are entered in this race, with drivers of international level from two different generations such as Giandomenico Basso (Skoda Fabia) and José Maria Lopez (Citroën C3).
At the national level, we have drivers, Ricardo Teodosio (Skoda Fabia), Alexandre Camacho winner of the last two years of the Madeira Wine Rally, Bruno Magalhães who also has four wins in this event and Miguel Nunes (Hyundai i20).
This traditional tasting, counted yesterday (Thursday, August 1st), with a super special on Avenida do Mar (2.18 km), in the heart of Funchal, opening the program of this 60th edition of the Madeira Wine Rally .
Today (Friday, August 2), will feature a double pass by the Golf Course and Palheiro Ferreiro, being the most extensive (19.08 km) in the morning section, and in the afternoon will pass the Serra de Água , Bonaventure and Santana.
Finally to finish (Saturday, August 3), the riders will pass by Câmara de Lobos, Ponta do Sol, Ponta do Pargo and Rosario, thus passing twice, thus constituting the program before the podium (18.00 hours ) in Funchal. In all there will be 19 classifiers, totaling 209.16 km of traveled at high speed.
