“Itália com Alma” at Il Basilico

The restaurant is promoting a gastronomic week from the 9th to the 17th of November.

Between the 9th and 17th of November, restaurant Il Basilico is promoting “Itália com Alma” (Italy with Heart), a gastronomic week that will have the participation of many guest chefs and activities such as pizza and Italian deserts workshops, visits to the Vila Porto Mare resort’s main kitchen and live music.

This edition’s main guest is Chef Augusto Gemelli from Mozza & CO., in the Mercado da Ribeira, Lisbon. Il Basilico will feature dishes by the Italian Chef conceived specifically for the occasion, and there will also be a demo on fresh mozzarellas. Also participating are Chefs Benôit Sinthon, from the The Cliff Bay’s Il Galo d’Oro (1 michelin star), Klaus Leichtenmüller, from the Porto de Santa Maria hotel, Alcino Marques and Jörg Zimmerman, from the Vila Porto Mare resort, and Cristiano Cutietta, affiliated with the event’s venue.

The courses selected for the opening dinner of “Itália com Alma” are: Spagetti carbonara with black truffle shards, rolls stuffed with braised beef, salmon fillet with champagne sauce, stravaganza and chocolate tentazione pizzas.

Dishes selected by costumers are highlighted in the restaurant’s annual renewal of the menu.

Located in the Lido area, Il Basilico restaurant is open every day from half past noon to half past ten.
