Sardinian flavours at Villa Cipriani

Chef Daniele Sanna will be the host for the Belmond Reid’s Palace’s Italian Gastronomic Week.

Daniele Sanna was born in Sardinia and now devotes himself to promoting that Italian island’s traditional cuisine, with which he takes a new and very skilled and tasteful approach.

It is precisely the Chef’s talent that inspired the week of Italian gastronomy lasting until Monday the 21st of November at the Villa Ciprianni restaurant in the Belmond Reid’s Palace hotel. There will be a tasting every day, the menu comprising three or four optional dishes. The menus include selected wines of Italian flavour. While the special menu substitutes the days’ specials though the usual menu is also available.

Daniele Sanna has worked with major Italian chefs such as Carlo Cracco and Sergio Mei. He is the author of a light yet flavourful cuisine of high aesthetic impact and made with simple fresh ingredients focusing especially on the region where he was born.

Casual yet chic, the Villa Cipriani enjoys a magnificent location up high, parallel to the Reid’s palace Hotel. It belongs to the Orient Express Hotels and under this group’s management has adopted the name of the renowned Cipriani Hotel in Venice, which belongs to the same group.

This is the first in a series of gastronomic weeks the Belmond Reid’s Palace intends to hold. Each will be dedicated to a different region of Italy.
