Uncovering Madeira… in Lisbon

The goal is to approach and allure a market that is ever more of concern to the Island.

After two successful promotion events (last year’s ‘Madeira in Chiado’ and last January’s ‘Discover Madeira’), the region intends to strengthen its position in the national market by preparing a series of initiatives to approach and allure an audience that is of great importance to it.

As has become customary, Madeira will be represented at the International Tourism Exhibition in Lisbon, between the 2nd and 6th of March, with a new stand. The tagline for this year is ‘Discover Madeira: a destination of experiences!’ and the goal is to strengthen its trendy position, some of its assets being the wealth of nature and experiences the destination has to offer.

Comprising three stations, the new stand allows for a better interaction with visitors and also gives you the chance to win trips to Madeira and Porto Santo. There will be a press conference at 3 p.m. on the first day of the event, where the Regional Government’s strategy for the national market will be released.

Also in Lisbon, at Campo de Ourique, there will be ‘Madeira at the Campo de Ourique Market’ event decorating the area according to the communications guidelines set in the ‘Uncover Madeira’ campaign. Throughout March, the island will be represented in the form of two stands with many regional products available to visitors, such as the traditional flat bread, poncha and molasses cake.

This represents a further attempt at captivating the national market and interesting them in what was declared in the last year as the World’s Best Island Destination
