Madeira Classical Orchestra plays concert at the Vidamar Hotel

The show on the 15th of April will have the participation of young maestro Dinis Sousa.

Vidamar Hotel’s Sunrise conference room will be the stage for a concert by the Madeira Classical Orchestra at 9 p.m. on the 15th of April, organized through Associação Notas e Sinfonias Atlânticas.

Joining the orchestra for this show will be the young maestro Dinis Sousa, currently living in London, and the soloist Pedro Silva playing the cello, who won the Royal Academy of Music’s 2014 ‘Solo Bach Prize for Cello’ for his interpretation of Bach’s Cello Suite No.3.

Johann Sebastian Bach’s ‘Orchestral Suite’ is in fact one of the pieces featured in the concert’s program for this Friday. As are Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach’s ‘Concerto in A major’ and Joseph Haydn’s ‘Symphony No.80 in D minor’.

Tickets can be acquired at Avenida Arriaga, at the Tourism Office. Tickets sell for 20 euros; 15 euros for senior citizens, 10 for associates and 5 for children aged 6 to 12 years old.
