9th Monumental Academic Serenade

Fado music, regional products tastings and the presentation of the Cultural Passport, all in one night.

On the 25th of June, the Jesuits’ College of Funchal once again serves as stage for Madeira’s Monumental Academic Serenade.

The event will have the performance of Fatum, the University of Mdeira Students’ Union’s (AAUMa’s) very own fado music group, at 8:30 p.m., followed by the àCapella group from Coimbra.

At 9:40 p.m., AAUMa will present its most recent project: the Cultural Passport – exploring Madeira.

This document is meant as a means to promote Madeiran heritage and enabling both locals and visitors to travel through iconic sites and events associated with the project by collecting stamps.

Such a lovely evening would not be finished without the opportunity to taste some regional products.

This will be the 9th Monumental Academic Serenade, an event organised by students, former students and volunteers working for the European voluntary service.
