Porto Bay group’s Cliff Bay is a nominee for “Best Five Star Hotel”.
The nominees for the “Oscars for Tourism” in Portugal, the Publituris PortugalTravel Awards 2015, have already been made public. This selection takes into account all the work and effort demonstrated throughout 2014/2015.
There are 19 categories in the event’s 12th edition, four more than in last year’s. The new categories are “Higher Education Institution in Tourism”, “Event of the Year”, the “Tourism Appreciation” Journalism Award and the Carreira Belmiro Santos Award, these two, awarded directly by Publituris.
Madeira is nominated for “Best Region in National Tourism” and Cliff Bay for “Best Five Stars Hotel”.
Both Pestana Hotel Group and PortoBay Hotels & Resorts are running for “Best Hotel Chain”.
Votes can be submitted until the 4th of September (Cast your vote here).
Winners are elected through a weighted average of votes cast by subscribers of Publituris’s newsletter (40%) and the jury’s votes (60%). The award ceremony will be on the 11th of September, at the Municipal Hall of Albufeira, in the Algarve.
