The event, held at Parque de Santa Catarina, in July, is now running for the Portugal Festival Awards.
NOS Summer Opening (NOSSO) has already become a habitual presence in the nominees for the Portugal festival Awards. This year, for the third consecutive year, it is nominated for Best Urban Festival and Best Medium Sized Festival.
These prizes have the purpose of acknowledging “the annual effort put into the organization of music festivals, awarding the best in each category and helping their promotion and notoriety in Portugal and abroad”, according to the festival organizers’ press release.
The Festival was held on the 24th and 25th of July, at Parque de Santa Catarina, and had the participation of Buraka Som Sistema, Dengaz, Carlão and Pedro Garcia on the first day, and Natiruts, The Black Mamba, Orlando Santos and Black Dog Blues Band on the second day.
The results will be made public on the 17th of November, at 9:30 p.m., in Lisbon, at the Cinema São Jorge. Victors are chosen through online voting at the Portugal Festival Awards webpage. To vote on NOSSO, you can do it here.
