Bordal to inaugurate a display of two Christmas tables decorated with Madeiran embroidery.
Bordal – Bordados da Madeira is set to inaugurate the ‘Christmas Tables with Madeiran Embroidery’ exhibition in the Baltazar Dias Municipal Theatre at 5 p.m. on December 5th. The goal is to promote Madeiran embroider and portray the Christmas spirit that is experienced in the Region.
Eight decorators were challenged to conceive proposals for a Christmas table using Madeiran embroidery. They were Nini Andrade Silva, Dino Gonçalves, Lilia and João Paulo Gomes, Miki Welsh, João Egídio, Isabel Borges, Tininha Pinto, Giano Gonçalves.
The exhibition is co-produced with the Town Hall of Funchal and will be in display until January 6th, in the Noble Hal of the Baltazar Dias Municipal Theatre.
