A day’s worth of dancing

Santana is keeping the tradition of giving to his visitors a day worth of dacing.

Tradition persists and on the 9th and 10th of July, Santana is once again host to the famous ’24 horas a bailar’ (literally meaning ’24 hours dancing’) event. Well-known on and beyond the island this event is a true representative of Madeiran culture.

Performing at this event are regional national folkloric groups, dressed for the occasion in their traditional costumes.

On Saturday 9th, entertainment will continue thanks to Vespas with DJs Ricardo Campos and Romano Faria who are to be joined on stage by ‘Play Entertainment’ with a show that includes fire, stomp walkers and the firing of CO2 shots.

As is typical of Madeiran festivals, there will be food and beverages stalls spread throughout the area of the event.
